Job summary

Elmer’s Manufacturing Ltd. in Altona, MB, is offering a Co-op/Student Manufacturing Engineering position for a dedicated student. You will design production solutions, weld and assemble your designs, and troubleshoot shop-floor issues while identifying improvements.

The role supports documentation, product integration, and engineering changes in a hands-on, team-focused environment. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering (completed or in progress).
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD system.
• Hands-on, team-focused work style and self-driven attitude.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office products.
• Operational excellence training/experience is a plus.

We have an upcoming opportunity in the ME Department as a Manufacturing Engineering Student, where we are looking for high-energy collaborators who are passionate about team success.

Availability: 4-month or 8-month term

In This Role You Will

• Design solutions to production challenges
• Get your hands dirty, weld and assemble your designs
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues on shop floor
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and streamline production processes
• Document processes and standardizations
• Integrate new products and product refinements into production
• Optimize production processes and analyze performance
• Assist with Engineering Change Orders
• A bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering (completed or in progress)
