Job summary

Elmer's Manufacturing Ltd. is seeking an R&D Technician for a four-month term starting in May to support the R&D team with product development. The role involves fabricating prototypes, assembling fixtures, and assisting with testing while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

A Bachelor’s or Diploma in Engineering or Engineering Tech is required or in progress. The successful candidate will read blueprints, provide feedback to designers, and help maintain shop functions.

Qualifications

• Fabricate and assemble prototypes, jigs and fixtures and test stands.
• Provide structured feedback on builds to designers.
• Support on-site testing by fabricating and assembling test fixtures, monitoring tests and operating equipment.
• Support regular shop functions such as maintenance and kitting.
• Experience in fabricating, welding and repair of machinery.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and sketches.
• Passion and ability for problem solving and decision making.
• Must be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate farm equipment would be an asset.

We have an upcoming opportunity in the Research and Development Department as an R&D Technician. Your core mission in this role is to assist the R&D team with product development projects and assignments. You'll collaborate effectively with other team members - both R&D and Cross-Functional - to solve critical problems throughout the product development process.

Availability: 4-month term starting in May

In This Role You Will
