Overview

The Contingent Labour Office’s (CLO) mandate is to partner with the business to enable an expedited and customer-centric positive approach to engaging external resources. This mandate is achieved by:

1. Utilizing internal contingent workforce expert practitioners, who continuously expand their skills and remain up-to-date on market intelligence.
2. Acting as trusted advisors, to educate, challenge the status quo, and advise the business on creative approaches to find the right solutions.
3. Delivering a customer-centric approach to the business and external resources by minimizing administration efforts, anticipating their needs, projecting a ‘how can I help you’ attitude, and actively collaborating with Hiring Managers to deepen relationships.

Location: Anywhere in Canada will be considered, virtual work opportunity (1-2 days in office per month may be required for company meetings)

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Leader of the Contract Labour Office (CLO), the Contract Manager will execute processes and solve challenges related to external resources during the initial setup, while on contract, and during renewal or departure. The role involves managing over 1000 external resources per year, ranging from individual contractors to multi-million dollar organizations. Responsibilities include:

• Applying technical expertise to advise, guide, and support Hiring Managers in engaging external resources.
• Working independently on complex cases, escalations, and requests to ensure effective and timely resolution.
• Managing complex contract revisions, risk assessments, change management, and difficult relationships.
• Addressing matters related to classification, conflicts of interest, immigration, taxation, data security, and other legal/regulatory issues, often in partnership with internal subject-matter experts.
• Handling high-risk cases involving compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, including laws such as CRA and ESA, and firm policies.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for:

• Promoting the CLO’s internal brand through a customer-centric delivery approach.
• Managing all cases within KPMG’s vendor management system (Flextrack), including training internal clients.
• Conducting due diligence on resources and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Managing complex case escalations, mediating negotiations, and drafting contractual clauses.
• Supporting change management initiatives and managing challenging client relationships.
• Participating in continuous improvement projects and other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To The Role

• College or University degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years’ experience in contract labour or contingent workforce management.
• Experience drafting third-party agreements and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
• Exposure to immigration, legal, or compliance matters.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ServiceNow and Flextrack is an asset.
• Legal training or experience is an asset.

This position requires fluency in English, both written and oral.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range: $73,000 to $109,500, with potential bonuses. Salary offers are based on location, skills, and experience.
