The Contingent Labour Office’s (CLO) mandate is to partner with the business to enable an expedited and customer-centric positive approach to engaging external resources. This involves balancing the commercial needs of the business with mitigating risk to the firm. This mandate is achieved by:

  • Utilizing internal contingent workforce expert practitioners, who continually expand their skills and stay updated on market intelligence.
  • Acting as trusted advisors, educating, challenging the status quo, and advising the business on creative solutions.
  • Delivering a customer-centric approach by minimizing administration efforts, anticipating needs, and actively collaborating with Hiring Managers.

Location: Anywhere in Canada; virtual work opportunity (1-2 days in office per month may be required for meetings).

What You Will Do
Reporting to the Leader of the Contract Labour Office (CLO), the Contract Manager will handle processes and challenges related to external resources across Canada, managing over 1000+ external resources annually. Responsibilities include:

  • Advising and supporting Hiring Managers in engaging external resources.
  • Managing complex cases, escalations, and requests independently.
  • Handling complex contract revisions, risk assessments, change management, and relationship management.
  • Partnering with internal experts and external providers on legal, risk, security, and compliance matters.
  • Managing high-risk cases involving legislative and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Promoting the CLO’s brand through a customer-centric approach.
  • Managing cases within KPMG’s vendor management system and training users.
  • Conducting due diligence and maintaining records.
  • Handling complex negotiations and contract clauses.
  • Supporting change management and managing challenging relationships.

What You Bring To The Role

  • College or University degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years’ experience with contract labour or contingent workforce management.
  • Experience drafting third-party agreements and liaising with multiple parties.
  • Knowledge of immigration, legal, and risk considerations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and ability to handle high volumes of cases.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ServiceNow and Flextrack is an asset.

This position requires fluency in English, supporting collaboration with English-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range: $73,000 to $109,500, with potential bonuses, based on skills and location.
