Together, these teams work to support children, youth, and families and promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes. Child Protection workers respond to concerns of abuse, neglect, and harm, assess safety, and work with families to reduce risk. The Resource Team recruits, assesses, trains, and supports foster and extended family caregivers, while the Out of Care Team works with families to address concerns and help children remain safely at home whenever possible. The work is meaningful and fast-paced, with staff working collaboratively across teams and with community partners to strengthen families, provide safe and nurturing placements, and build safer communities.
