The Team
The Vanderhoof Child Protection & Family Services Team brings energy and compassion to every day, whether they’re in the office or out connecting with children, youth, families, and communities. This established team includes Child Protection Workers, a Child, Youth and Family Support Worker, and a SPO Assistant, and together they work closely with First Nations partners, Indigenous Child and Family Service Agencies, and local service providers. They support one another, collaborate across programs, and stay focused on what matters most—keeping children safe and helping families build strong, healthy homes.
The Role
The Social Program Officer Assistant provides essential administrative and program support to a team of Child Protection Workers in delivering services to children, youth, and families. Key responsibilities include coordinating, transporting, and supervising access visits for children in care, connecting families with community-based supports and services, and preparing and serving court-related documentation. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families while contributing to a dynamic, collaborative, and supportive team environment.

About this Position:
This position is full time temporary opportunity until September 30, 2017. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to two (2) days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies.
