Overview

Adecco is actively seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious individual to join our client's team as a Class 4 Driver, supporting Child and Family Services within the First Nation community of Gold River, BC. As part of the role, you will be operating a fleet of vehicles, including two vans and two electric vehicles (EVs), ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, and facilitating transportation needs for children and families. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25 (negotiable), with training and support for those requiring license upgrading.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a fleet of two vans and two electric vehicles (EVs) specifically for Child and Family Services within the First Nation community.
  • Ensure all vehicles are operated in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate vehicle usage and scheduling with the Youth Coordinator and Educational Administrative Assistant.
  • Report any vehicle incidents, damages, or concerns promptly to the Health and Safety Coordinator.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle trips, including passenger information.
  • Participate in safety and emergency response training as provided by the Health and Safety Coordinator.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure all vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Work in various conditions, including urban, rural, and challenging weather.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Requirements
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • Must have a valid BC Class 4 Driver's License (Nation supports costs for training / upgrading, if necessary).
  • Clean driving record and clearance through a Vulnerable / Criminal Background Check (RCMP fingerprinting).
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, particularly with an emphasis on safety, compliance, and driving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and perform duties under various weather conditions.
  • Experience with First Nation communities and / or children and families is an asset.
