The Salvation Army International is seeking a Christmas Kettle Campaign Assistant Coordinator (Kettles) for a short-term contract in Oshawa, Ontario. You will oversee several kettle locations, supervise volunteers, manage scheduling, and ensure secure handling of donations.

You will train staff, recruit kettle workers, record data, coordinate kettle deliveries, and report issues daily. A strong customer service background and basic office skills are required; Ontario G-class license and ability

Qualifikationen

• Some high school coursework; completion of high school is an asset.
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience or working in customer service.
• Experience in office administration and with general office equipment.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License.

Aufgaben

• Attend a day of training/orientation on The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Provide support in getting Kettles to zone locations prior to staff and/or volunteers' arrival.
• Ensure all Kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift completion.
• Communicate daily issues and supply deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Supervise, support and assign staff and/or volunteers throughout the Campaign.
• Schedule kettle staff and/or volunteers and respond to emergency absences.
• Oversee the operations of the Christmas Kettle campaign including scheduling.
• Recruit kettle worker staff and/or volunteers.
• Record statistical data and prepare weekly time sheets as required.
