Job summary

The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory is seeking a Kettle Coordinator II for the Christmas Kettle Campaign. This short-term contract role oversees multiple kettle locations across a defined zone, such as malls and stores, and supports volunteer recruitment and supervision.

Responsibilities include training, setting up kettles, ensuring secure donations, and daily reporting. Strong communication and organizational skills, plus reliability, are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to understand and support The Salvation Army mission and purpose.
• Comply with OH&S Act and safety policies.
• Alternative education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Attend a day of training/onboarding for The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Provide support in setting up Kettles at zone locations before volunteers arrive.
• Ensure all kettle donations are transferred to secure locations at shift end.
• Communicate daily issues and supply needs to City/Assistant Coordinator.
• Orient and remind volunteers about kettle duties and safety.
• Supervise and support kettle volunteers during the campaign.
• Participate in recruiting new volunteers.
• Visit locations during shift changes and intermittently.
• Coordinate daily communication with ATL partner for smooth transition.
• Ensure timesheets and mileage reports are submitted accurately (weekly).
• Remain at the kettle for full shift to secure donations and answer questions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
