Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated Kettle Campaign Worker to support the Christmas kettle program in Ontario malls. You will assist with setup, staff coordination, and securing donations while delivering excellent donor service.

Responsibilities include scheduling, timesheet documentation, and ensuring accurate record-keeping, safety compliance, and reliable coverage during shifts; prior cash handling and customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Some high school coursework, completion of high school is an asset.
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence, personal vehicle required and insurance.
• A minimum of one year of related experience or working in customer service.
• Money handling experience is an asset.
• Experience in office administration.
• Experience with general office equipment and word processing/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Attend a training/orientation on The Salvation Army and the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
• Provide support in getting Kettles to zone locations prior to staff/volunteer arrival.
• Ensure all Kettle donations are delivered to secure location at shift completion.
• Communicate daily issues and supply deficiencies to the supervisor.
• Supervise, support and assign staff/volunteers during the Campaign.
• Coordinate the schedule for kettle staff/volunteers and respond to emergencies.
• Record weekly timesheets and mileage reports.
• Post campaign; organize retrieval of all equipment/supplies from kettle locations.
