Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Cell Culture Research Associate with at least 1 year of hands‑on laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture. The successful candidate will support ongoing research projects by maintaining cell lines, performing routine assays, and contributing to the development and optimization of cell‑based experiments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and propagate various mammalian cell lines under sterile conditions
- Monitor cell health, viability, and growth using microscopy and cell counting techniques
- Prepare and aliquot reagents, media, and supplements for cell culture
- Conduct transfections, infections, or treatments on cell cultures as needed
- Perform basic molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, and ELISA
- Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results in lab notebooks or digital systems
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and biosafety regulations
- Assist in the preparation of data for presentations and reports for regulatory submissions
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field
- 1+ year of practical, hands‑on experience in a research or industry laboratory setting with a focus on cell culture
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and standard tissue culture practices
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment such as biosafety cabinets, incubators, centrifuges, and microscopes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow protocols and work both independently and collaboratively
- Basic understanding of data analysis and laboratory documentation practices
- Ability to handle process challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a GMP or regulated environment
- Familiarity with automation platforms
- Exposure to stem cell culture techniques
Working Conditions
- Laboratory environment requiring extended periods of standing and working
- Handling of biological materials under sterile conditions
- 6 day week and occasional overtime work may be required based on project needs
