About the role:

Clutch is looking for a Cash Application Analyst to join our Finance & Accounting team! You are a detail‑oriented, analytical professional with a passion for accuracy and process improvement. You’ll play a key role in ensuring timely, precise recording and reconciliation of payments and receivables, helping to maintain financial integrity across all transactions.

Working closely with the broader Finance & Accounting team, you’ll support daily bookkeeping, month‑end close, and financial reporting processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and automation within our growing organization.

What you’ll do:
  • Review and record sale transactions to correct customer ledgers, reconciling revenue on a daily basis to ensure accurate recording
  • Monitor payment receipts and apply payments to outstanding receivables, ensuring payments are received in a timely manner
  • Work alongside the sales & treasury team to coordinate receipt of funds and resolve discrepancies or past due payments
  • Monitor customer account details for non‑payment, delayed payments, and other discrepancies.
  • Manage source documents and ensure our records are organized, complete and accurate.
  • Assist the Finance & Accounting team with month‑end close process and year‑end audit requests.
  • Work closely with Management on various ad‑hoc projects that will improve and maintain the full accounting cycle & accounting functions of the company.
Qualifications:
  • You have a post‑secondary education in Accounting
  • You have 1‑2 years experience in an accounting role, working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • You are proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and you have the ability to quickly learn new applications/tools
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and you are able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and vendors
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You are entrepreneurial and a hustler: you do what it takes to get the job done and enjoy working hard
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus
  • You are comfortable working at our Downtown Toronto office at 60 Adelaide St. E.
