We are a leadingconstruction development company focusing on the design and production of multi-family apartments and condominiums within Canada, our team is looking for an experienced Foreman to help continue to grow their organization!

Job Title: Carpenter Foreman

Location: Langford/Victoria

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain company safety guidelines and practices
  • Good understanding of construction schedules and the ability to implement changes to accommodate work schedule accordingly
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and convey this information to others
  • Plan, implement and manage construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to report project status to superintendent daily
  • Good understanding of safety policies and safe work while ensuring that all safety rules are being followed at all times
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example
  • Provide proper guidance and learning opportunities for laborers and apprentices
  • Efficiently delegate responsibilities and individual projects to the crew and sub-trades
  • Develop and oversee quality standards on all sites

Qualifications:

  • Completed high school or equivalent, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Open minded, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively
  • 3rd or 4th level Journeyman Carpenter
  • Possess strong leadership skills with effective participation in team environment
  • Has excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Looking to participate in an exciting environment and company that is proving to be a game-changer in the industry
  • 5 years of related construction experience
  • Ability to travel as required
