We Are Seeking A Compassionate, Experienced, And Dependable Personal Support Worker To Provide Full-Time Care For A Senior Client With High Medical Needs And Alzheimer's Disease. The Position Is Based In The Employer's Home In An Urban Setting And Requires Travel With The Senior, Including Driving To Medical Appointments And Occasional Overnight Trips. A Valid Driver's License Is Required.

Duties
  • Provide Personal Care And Companionship
  • Assist With Bathing, Hygiene, And Dressing
  • Administer Bedside Care And Medications
  • Monitor And Support Alzheimer's-Related Needs
  • Change Non-Sterile Dressings And Collect Specimens
  • Assist With Feeding And Therapeutic Diets
  • Plan And Prepare Nutritious Meals
  • Perform Light Housekeeping And Laundry
  • Shop For Food And Household Supplies
  • Support Regular Exercise Routines (E.G., Walks)
  • Care For Pets
  • Drive Senior To Appointments And Accompany On Travel
  • Maintain A Safe, Clean, And Supportive Environment
Qualifications
  • Language: English Required; Portuguese Or Spanish Essential (Senior Doesn't Speak English)
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License Required
  • Previous Experience In Assisted Living, Nursing Homes, Or Senior Care Is Preferred.
  • Familiarity With Hospice Care And Working With Individuals With Disabilities Is A Plus.
  • Knowledge Of Caregiving Best Practices, Including Meal Preparation And Medication Administration.
  • Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well With Diverse Populations.
  • Compassionate Nature With A Genuine Desire To Help Others.
  • Ability To Perform Physical Tasks, Including Heavy Lifting As Needed.
  • Certification In Caregiving Or Related Fields Is Advantageous But Not Required.
