Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in the Nanaimo area is hiring caregivers to provide in-home support to clients on North Vancouver Island. You will assist with meal prep, light housekeeping and personal care, following care plans and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• 1 year previous caregiving experience
• Must be able to communicate in English
• Current TB Screen and Criminal Record Check
• Must be able to legally work in surrounding areas to apply for this position
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is required
• Must live locally

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service North Vancouver Island surrounding area
• Looking for all visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700) weekdays and weekends
