Job summary

Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in Qualicum Beach, BC is hiring caring professionals to provide in-home support to clients on the North Vancouver Island. The role emphasizes compassionate caregiving, personal care, light housekeeping, and companionship in clients' homes.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of caregiving experience, English proficiency, a valid BC Health Care Certification, a TB screen and criminal record check, a valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle.

Qualifications

• 1 year of caregiving experience.
• Must communicate in English; other languages are assets.
• Proof of BC Health Care Certification (Registry #).
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Must be able to work legally in surrounding area.
• Current TB screen and criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship and personal care
• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet safety needs and use equipment safely
• Work within your experience and document records accurately
• Service North Vancouver Island surrounding area
• Accommodate visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700) weekdays and weekends

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care
• Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
• Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly
• Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
• Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
• Service North Vancouver Island surrounding area
• Looking for all visit times (700-1500, 1500-2300, 2300-700) weekdays and weekends

Requirements

• 1 year previous caregiving experience
• Must be able to communicate in English. Other languages are an asset
