Job summary

Gray Collection in Montreal is seeking a Supervisor/Captain to assist in daily restaurant operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience across our dining venues. You will supervise staff, coordinate with the kitchen, and act as the manager on duty when the Restaurant Manager is away.

The role requires 2–3 years of similar experience, strong customer service, leadership, and solid English communication due to interactions with international guests.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Training in restaurant management is considered an asset.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Leadership skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper service planning based on anticipated guest volume.
• Inspect the dining room to ensure all areas are properly set up and service-ready.
• Supervise and support staff members throughout service.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the kitchen to ensure smooth and efficient service operations.

• Handle guest complaints and concerns when required.

The Supervisor/Captain reports to the Restaurant Manager and assists in overseeing the restaurant’s daily operations. They supervise and support team members while playing a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
