Job summary

Gray Collection in Montreal is seeking a friendly Server to join our dining room teams. You will advise guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages while ensuring guest satisfaction. The role requires English and French communication and availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Operating in the hospitality and restaurant industry for nearly 50 years, Gray Collection is an award-winning group of authentically local hotels and restaurants that offer travelers from around the world the experience of friendly luxury. Among our establishments are Maggie Oakes, Jacopo, Vieux-Port Steakhouse, Pincette, Bevo Bar+Pizzeria, Restaurant Gaspar, Terrasse le Perché, Terrasse William Gray, and Terrasse sur l’Auberge.

The server advises guests, takes orders, and serves food and beverages in the dining room.

More generally, they work collaboratively with other dining room team members to provide guests with an exceptional dining experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Properly set up the dining room before service begins;
• Advise guests and take orders;
• Serve ordered food and beverages;
• Check on guest satisfaction whenever possible;
• Respond to all guest requests;
• Process billing and payment once the meal is completed;
• Ensure the cleanliness of their work area, the dining room, and the restrooms;
• Perform any other related duties necessary to ensure smooth service operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of one (1) year of restaurant industry experience;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Strong interest in teamwork and collaboration;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Good organizational skills;
• Availability to work evenings and weekends;
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French, both spoken and written.
