Job summary

Calgary Co-op seeks a Cannabis Store Supervisor to support the Cannabis Manager in operating our Cannabis location, focusing on service quality, program execution, scheduling, budgeting and profitability. You will ensure compliance with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission regulations and lead a team to deliver strong store performance.

Ideal candidates will have Grade 12, SellSafe certification, a valid Cannabis Worker status, and at least three years of retail supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education is required.
• SellSafe Certification is required.
• Knowledge of Cannabis strains is preferred.
• Understanding of Alberta cannabis regulations is required.
• Three years of retail supervisory experience is required.
• Qualified Cannabis Worker status (AGLC) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cannabis Store Manager to ensure compliance with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission regulations.
• Oversee daily store management in line with company policies and expectations.
• Provide feedback and assist in developing improvement plans for store operations.
• Lead and develop the store team to maintain a motivated workforce.
• Assist in budgeting and achieving store sales, margins, and inventory targets.
• Schedule staff according to sales needs and ensure proper EHP adherence.
• Maintain merchandising standards and execute company programs.
• Participate in OH&S activities and ensure staff comply with safety policies.
