Job summary

Whisker is hiring a Toronto-based Retail Account Manager to own our Canadian retail relationships, including major partners like Costco and Best Buy. You will shape market entry, set strategy, and manage buyer negotiations, SKU setup, and channel development from day one.

As the first dedicated Canadian account leader, you will build processes, drive profitability, and align cross-functional teams to ensure sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• BS in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of sales experience with large retailers.
• Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with retail buyers and partners.
• Demonstrated success in meeting/exceeding sales targets and opening new retail accounts.
• Expertise in analyzing performance metrics, forecasting, and optimizing profitability.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with cross-functional alignment.
• Experience managing retail channels and ensuring product-market fit.
• Ability to travel 25–40% and operate in a Canadian market.
• Located in the Greater Toronto Area.

Responsibilities

• Own Whisker's relationships with major Canadian retailers.
• Lead growth with retailers like Costco, PetSmart, NLI, Canadian Tire, TSC and Best Buy.
• Define, optimize, and grow key retail channels and relationships with distributors and agencies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail buyers and partners to drive business growth.
• Manage day-to-day account operations: SKU setup, retailer portals, EDI, and POs.
• Forecast demand and coordinate marketing co-op funds and promotional plans.
• Track performance metrics and drive profitability improvements.
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to tailor assortments and programs.
• Travel as required to support retailer initiatives and trade shows.
