Job summary

OPENLANE in Ottawa is seeking a part-time Auction Clerk to support the daily bidding process. This role involves entering vehicle and sale information into the auction system, following company policies, and presenting a professional appearance while cooperating with auction personnel.

Availability every Thursday is mandatory. The position requires a high school diploma, one year of clerical experience, strong keyboarding and communication skills, and reliable transportation since public transit

Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience with accurate data entry skills.
• Excellent communication, keyboarding skills and the ability to multitask.
• Must stay focused in a fast-paced, very noisy environment.
• Must be able to work all Thursdays during the day.
• Must have driver's license and own transportation as public transportation is not available to our location.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining ongoing bidding process through online computer system as prompted by Auctioneer.
• Accurately enters vehicle and sale information into computer on the auction block during the sale.
• Ensures that company policies and procedures are always followed.
• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with our policy.
• Practice and always promote teamwork.
• Maintain a good flow of communication with all auction personnel.
• Perform all duties assigned by the Manager or designated manager.

Part-time position requiring approximately 4-6 hours per week with possibility of additional shifts to clerk for other auctions from our location. Availability every Thursday is mandatory.

Compensation Range of Hourly: $25.00 - $25.00 CAD (Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
