Job summary

OPENLANE in Canada is seeking a Transport Clerk to support vehicle movement and data entry across our logistics network. You will enter vehicle details, coordinate loads, and respond to inquiries from customers, drivers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of related experience or education in office administration or accounting.
• Tech-savvy and proficient with Google Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manually or electronically enter data in an accurate and timely manner, including vehicle information, locations, and other documents, into transportation and inventory management systems.
• Assist with coordinating the movement of vehicles to and from the Vehicle Logistics Centers (VLC), including dispatching loads for correct arrival designation, and completing related paperwork.
• Respond to email, phone, and walk-in inquiries from internal, customer, and subcontractors as required.
• May assist with posting transportation and related charges to customer accounts.
• Serve as a liaison for Lead Drivers when Dispatcher/Supervisor is not available.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by communicating with clients; identifying & resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Investigate discrepancies and communicate with appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.

Transport Clerk Responsibilities

Must haves

• Experience with AMS, VTrace, and other OPENLANE systems


• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset

Compensation

Compensation Range of Hourly: $19.00 - $22.00 CAD (Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
