Job summary

OPENLANE is seeking a part-time clerk to support our auction operations. You will assist with maintaining the bidding process, entering vehicle and sale data, and ensuring policy adherence in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong clerical skills, reliable Thursday availability, and a valid driver's license. Competitive hourly pay and benefits in a dynamic, global company.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing bidding process through online system as prompted by Auctioneer.
• Enter vehicle and sale information accurately during the sale.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain a professional appearance per policy.
• Promote teamwork and maintain flow of communication with auction personnel.
• Perform duties assigned by the Manager or designated manager.

Part-time position requiring approximately 4-6 hours per week with possibility of additional shifts to clerk for other auctions from our location. Availability every Thursday is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining ongoing bidding process through online computer system as prompted by Auctioneer.


• Accurately enters vehicle and sale information into computer on the auction block during the sale.


• Ensures that company policies and procedures are always followed.


• Maintain a professional appearance consistent with our policy.


• Practice and always promote teamwork.


• Maintain a good flow of communication with all auction personnel.


• Perform all duties assigned by the Manager or designated manager.

Educational Requirements or Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent in education with previous office experience.


• One (1) year of clerical experience with minimum intermediate computer skills and accurate data entry skills required.


• Must have excellent communication, keyboarding skills and the ability to multitask.


• Must be able to stay focused in a fast-paced, very noisy environment.


• Must be able to work all Thursdays during the day.


• Must have driver's license and own transportation as public transportation is not available to our location.

Compensation Range of Hourly: $25.00 - $25.00 CAD (Depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors.)
