Job summary

SYSTRA Canada, a leading engineering and transport solutions firm, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join the HR team. The role focuses on managing the full recruitment cycle, building strategic partnerships with managers, and sourcing top performers across rail, construction, and engineering sectors.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in talent acquisition, a HR-related bachelor’s degree, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in talent acquisition, including at least 3 years in rail, construction, or engineering sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, or the equivalent.
• Dynamic, creative, passionate, and solution-oriented.
• Strong evaluation, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire recruitment cycle.
• Build strong relationships with managers and act as a strategic partner.
• Source talent like an in-house headhunter and ensure a great candidate experience.
• Evaluate candidates fairly and support during the selection process.
• Navigate talent search and management tools (LinkedIn, internal software, social media).
• Negotiate offers and finalize agreements with HR colleagues.
