Job summary

SYSTRA Canada is seeking a strategic Procurement Lead to partner with project teams on all procurement and purchasing activities for rail and infrastructure initiatives. You will manage procurement plans, supplier contracts, and compliance across domestic and international supply chains.

Qualified candidates bring 8+ years in procurement, with rail project leadership experience, and relevant certifications. Hybrid work in Canada is available with AI-enabled hiring tools.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant procurement experience with at least 2 years leading procurement teams for major capital design and construction projects.
• 3+ years rail transit experience is an asset
• PMAC or MCIPS or relevant equivalent certification is an asset

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities in accordance with the Procurement Plan and maintain an up-to-date Procurement Plan.
• Contribute to the Execution Phase Procurement Strategy for major value and long-lead items and for equipment/materials.
• Set a procurement schedule outlining priorities and required activities.
• Establish template vendor compliance, tender and contract documents.
• Initiate, develop, negotiate and issue contracts; negotiate contracts for supplying commodities, capital equipment, services and supplies.
• Establish tools to ensure value for money and alignment with project scope, schedule and requirements.
• Audit compliance to procedures and standards for project procurement; participate in meetings and reporting.
