Job summary

Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care is seeking a casual Program Aide to support the Day Program under the Program Manager. The role focuses on planning activities, assisting clients with daily living, meals, and social engagement in a safe, respectful environment.

Candidate should be a graduate of a recognized PSW program, CPR certified, and capable of English and Chinese communication. This casual position offers learning opportunities, competitive compensation, and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Requires good interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication in English and Chinese.
• Satisfactory Police Reference Check (vulnerable sector).
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide high-quality activities for Day Program clients.
• Assist clients with daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Provide meals or assist in meal prep and help clients eat.
• Encourage social interaction and participation in activities.
• Prepare program materials with the team.
• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and take appropriate action.
• Assist clients with adaptive devices and safe usage.
