Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in culinary field, with at least 1 year in pastry or bakery kitchen.
  • Food Handler Certificate for Alberta is required.
  • Actively working towards Journeyman’s papers or equivalent is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, friendly guest service while supporting fellow colleagues.
  • Prepare and service baked goods and desserts for various meal periods and functions.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance pastry operations during daily briefings.
  • Ensure proper rotation and storage of pastry products to minimize waste.
  • Maintain knowledge of dessert and baked menu items, including ingredients and presentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of pastry work areas and equipment.
  • Follow kitchen policies and adhere to safety and sanitation policies.
