Freson Market Ltd/Freson Bros. in Peace River, AB is hiring a Full-Time Sourdough Baker to produce bread and bakery items, with early shifts and a focus on quality and guest service.

You will measure, mix, shape, bake, and maintain a clean workspace while following safety guidelines. Requirements include knowledge of bakery principles, experience with pre-ferments, ability to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and a passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced team

Job description

We are hiring for a Full-Time Sourdough Baker position with a wage range of $16.00- $23.00 at our location in Peace River, AB.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Measure, mix, scale, knead, hand-shape, and score bread

• Bake traditional bread and bakery products

• Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)

• Adhere to quality, cleanliness, and merchandising standards

• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area

• Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures

• Handle customer customer service inquiries and provide an exceptional customer experience

What you Bring:

• Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations

• Experience with pre-ferments, levain, poolish, sponge

• Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and holidays

• A passion for providing an exceptional customer experience

• Ability to thrive and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
