Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Hamilton, Ontario is hiring for a regional night shift AZ driver. You will perform safe cross-border freight pickups and deliveries on a Monday–Friday schedule, staying in the truck most nights and returning home weekends.

Requirements include an AZ license with clean CVOR/Driver's Abstract, a valid passport, 18-speed manual experience, and at least 3 years on AZ routes. Physical fitness for tarp loading and unloading is necessary.

Qualifications

• AZ license with clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract.
• Valid Passport for cross-border trips.
• Experience driving 18-speed manual transmissions.
• Minimum 3 years as an AZ driver.
• Physically fit to tarp 40 and 53 yd bins.
• Able to perform loading/unloading as required.
• Familiar with metal recycling processes is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and timely pickup and delivery of freight.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate e-logs and comply with MTO/DOT regulations.
• Communicate load status with dispatch and customers.
• Ensure cargo is secured according to safety standards.
