Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, is seeking an AZ Driver to join our Transportation team starting at 6:00am, Monday–Friday. You will transport metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Requirements include a valid AZ license with a clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract, 2+ years of AZ driving experience, ability to tarp 40 and 53 yd bins, and readiness to perform loading/unloading and inspections as needed.

Qualifications

• AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract.
• Experience driving 18 speed manual transmission.
• Minimum 2 years as an AZ Driver.
• Physically capable of tarping 40 and 53 yd bins.
• Able to perform loading/unloading as required.
• Familiar with metal recycling processes (asset).

Responsibilities

• Operate AZ-class truck to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck and securing the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Perform manual tarping if necessary.
• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.
• Complete deliveries records and required documentation.

What you’re responsible for:

• Operatingan AZ-classTruckto transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipmentand secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Performing manual tarping if necessary
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
• Completingaccurate and thorough records of deliveriesand any other required documentation

Qualifications

To join our team:

• You have a valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
• You have experience driving 18 speedmanual transmission (required)
• You have a minimum of 2years of experience as an AZ Driver
• You are physically fit and able to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins
• You can perform loading and unloading activities as required
• You are familiar with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
