Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking an AZ Driver to join the Transportation team in Canada. The role starts early each workday and focuses on safe and efficient transport of metal materials to client sites and AIM facilities.

You will operate an AZ-class truck, perform loading/unloading, tarping, and keep thorough delivery records. Qualifications include a valid AZ license with a clean CVOR, 2+ years of AZ driving experience, and the ability to tarp 40 and 53yd bins.

Qualifications

• Requires valid AZ license and a clean CVOR/Driver's Abstract.
• Experience driving 18-speed manual transmission (required).
• Minimum 2 years of AZ driving experience.
• Physically able to tarp and handle 40- and 53-yard bins.

Responsibilities

• Operate AZ-class truck to transport metal materials to/from designated locations.
• Safely load/unload materials and secure loads for transit.
• Perform tarping as needed.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintenance records.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and professional AZ Driver to join our Transportation team. starting at 6:00am,Monday-Friday.You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of metal materials to and from client sites and other AIM facilities.

What you’re responsible for:

• Operatingan AZ-classTruckto transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipmentand secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Performing manual tarping if necessary
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition
• Completingaccurate and thorough records of deliveriesand any other required documentation

To join our team:

• You have a valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
• You have experience driving 18 speedmanual transmission (required)
• You have a minimum of 2years of experience as an AZ Driver
• You are physically fit and able to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins
• You can perform loading and unloading activities as required
• You are familiar with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
