Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is hiring for a regional AZ tractor-trailer driver to handle cross-border long-haul routes on a Monday–Friday night shift. Drivers stay in the truck and return home on weekends, with overtime after 44 hours.

Requirements include an AZ license with clean CVOR/Driver's Abstract, valid passport, 3+ years AZ experience, and the ability to tarp large bins. This role offers a competitive pay and benefits package with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• AZ driver's license with clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract.
• Valid Passport.
• Experience driving 18 speed manual transmission.
• Minimum 3 years as AZ Driver.
• Physically fit to tarp 40 and 53yd bins.
• Loading/unloading abilities as required.
• Familiar with metal recycling processes (asset).

Responsibilities

• Operate Class AZ tractor-trailer for long-haul routes.
• Safe and timely pickup and delivery of freight.
• Pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain e-logs and comply with MTO/DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers about load status.
• Secure cargo per safety and company standards.

Job Description

This is a regional Monday–Friday night shift position - drivers stay in the truck most nights during the week and return home weekends. Involves cross-border runs.

What you’re responsible for

• Operate Class AZ tractor‑trailer equipment for long‑haul routes.
• Perform safe and timely pickup and delivery of freight.
• Conduct thorough pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate e‑logs and adhere to all MTO/DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding load status.
• Ensure cargo is secured according to safety and company standards.

Qualifications

To join our team:

• You have a valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
• Valid Passport
• You have experience driving 18 speedmanual transmission (required)
• You have a minimum of 3years of experience as an AZ Driver
• You are physically fit and able to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins
• You can perform loading and unloading activities as required
• You are familiar with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
