Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is a family-owned company and a global leader in metal recycling, with over 125 sites and 4000 employees worldwide. We are seeking a skilled AZ Driver to join our Transportation team, starting at 6:00am, Monday-Friday, responsible for safe transport of metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities.

You will operate an AZ-class truck, load/unload materials, tarp when needed, and perform pre/post-trip inspections while maintaining accurate delivery

Qualifications

• Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract.
• Experience driving 18 speed manual transmission.
• Minimum 2 years of AZ driving experience.
• Physically fit and able to tarp 40 and 53 yd bins.
• Able to perform loading/unloading activities as required.
• Familiar with metal recycling processes (asset).

Responsibilities

• Operate an AZ-class Truck to transport metal materials between designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Performing manual tarping if necessary.
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition.
• Completing accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentation.
