Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a skilled AZ Driver to join our Transportation team in Canada. The role starts at 6:00am, Monday to Friday, transporting metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities.

You will operate an AZ-class truck, perform loading/unloading with proper tarping, and conduct routine truck inspections. A valid AZ license with clean CVOR and 2+ years of AZ driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract.
• Experience driving 18 speed manual transmission (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an AZ Driver.
• Physically fit and able to hand tarp 40 and 53 yd bins.
• Can perform loading and unloading activities as required.
• Familiar with metal recycling processes (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Operating an AZ-class Truck to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and securing the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Performing manual tarping if necessary.
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition.
• Completing accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentation.
