Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Ajax, Ontario, seeks an AZ Driver to join the Transportation team. The role starts at 6:00am, Monday–Friday, transporting metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities with safety and efficiency.

You must hold a valid AZ license with a clean CVOR and Driver Abstract, have 2+ years of AZ driving experience, and be physically fit to tarp and load/unload 40 and 53-yard bins.

Qualifications

• Valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and drivers abstract.
• Experience driving 18-speed manual transmission.
• Minimum 2 years as AZ Driver.
• Physically fit and able to tarp 40 and 53yd bins.
• Able to perform loading and unloading activities.
• Familiar with metal recycling processes (asset).

Responsibilities

• Operating an AZ-class Truck to transport metal materials to and from designated locations, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
• Safely loading and unloading metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Performing manual tarping if necessary.
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition.
• Completing accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentation.

Job Description
