Job description

Job Title: Avionics Technician

As an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and testing avionics systems in accordance with aircraft maintenance manuals and other approved technical or regulatory documents. You will also assist in the installation of new avionics upgrades.

Accommodations per diem flights available for candidates

Carrying a per diem and traveling for lateral flights is available for enabled candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and test avionics systems following aircraft maintenance manuals.
  • Assist in the installation of new avionics upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory documents.
  • Collaborate with team members in a team-based work environment.
Essential Skills
  • 5 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting electrical, navigation, communication, and flight controls systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, installation and wire harness.
  • AME-E license (nice to have).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience on corporate aircraft, De Havilland DHC 8 series, and CL415/215 aircraft is an asset.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required.
  • Availability to travel for occasional AOG recovery operations or short periods for offsite installations.
  • Posess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
Work Environment

The role is based in an aircraft hangar, offering a dynamic and collaborative team-based work environment. The position requires flexibility in working hours and potential travel for offsite assignments.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Kitchener, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
