A local audiology clinic in Ontario seeks an Audiologist to perform audiometric assessments, fit hearing aids, and provide follow-up patient care. The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Audiology, is a CASLPO member, and has experience in clinical settings. We are looking for an individual who is looking for a long-term working relationship. Our family has been helping people with their dentures for 4 generations. The hearing side was established 11 years ago and is going strong. We're looking to continue to build our growth. We're also a lot of fun and do some great staff outings!
Responsibilities:
·Perform audiometric assessments, hearing aid evaluations and consultations.
·Opportunity to work with the pediatric population if interested.
·Prescribe and fit hearing aids, accessories and assistive listening devices based on audiometric findings.
·Counsel and support patients accordingly.
·Perform follow-up visits to monitor patient progress and adjust hearing aids as needed. Follow-up care is what we're known for and reason why our patients tell us they feel at home and welcome when they walk in.
·Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and follow all best practices protocols.
·Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of hearing aid manufacturers and programming.
·Perform cerumen management with irrigation and/or curette
·Provide hearing aid cleanings, modifications and minor repairs.
Support all Deegan Hearing Clinic Staff when needed.
Qualifications and Education
·Master’s degree in Audiology from recognized school and licensed to work in Canada.
·Member of CASLPO in good standing.
·New graduates welcome to apply.
·Minimum 2 year clinical experience an asset.
