Job summary

Dollarama in Victoria, BC is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to help oversee store operations and staff while delivering great customer service.

The role offers both full-time (25+ hours per week) and part-time positions with weekly pay and benefits. Candidates typically have about one year of retail and supervisory experience and flexible day/evening/weekend availability.

You will support management, assist with opening/closing duties, and help maintain a safe, clean store environment.

Dollarama is hiring an Assistant Team Leader for their Victoria, British Columbia location. Both full-time (25+ hours per week) and part-time (less than 25 hours per week) permanent positions are available.

Tasks

• Assisting the management team in managing store operations and staff.
• Boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
• Stocking daily products on shelves in compliance with presentation standards.
• Providing good customer service and resolving customer issues.
• Ensuring and contributing to compliance with store safety and cleanliness standards.
• Conducting managers on duty tasks: making sure daily breaks are taken and attendance is entered.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Participating in the employee training process.

Requirements

• Approximately one (1) year of relevant experience in the retail industry.
• Approximately one (1) year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability required (day, evening, weekend shifts).
• Ability to efficiently organize time and manage priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrates leadership and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, work in a dynamic, fast paced and high-volume environment.

Pay: From $19.40 to $19.79 per hour.
