The Opportunity
  • We're looking for a Manager or Assistant Manager to join our Private Enterprise team in Hamilton. You'll have the opportunity to utilize new technology and processes to deliver and review accurate and timely enterprise technical services of varying levels of complexity to the business.
  • You will have the opportunity to 'own' the delivery of your work and contribute to the resolution of complex compliance accounting and tax issues that result in client satisfaction.
  • Join our national specialist team, where you will gain exposure to a broad client base and be provided with accelerated learning and development opportunities!
  • We offer flexibility with this position, which is available at 30+ hours per week and can be adjusted to align with your preferred working hours/days.
Day to Day you will
  • Review of annual financial statements for team members, providing feedback and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and taxation standards.
  • Potential to be involved in the preparation of some of our more complex group engagements, if required.
  • Assist junior team members to prioritise work effectively to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Contribute to our high-performance team culture with an innovative approach to the delivery of our technical accounting work.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team and identify any development or training needs.
  • Recognize business development opportunities and be able to build key business relationships.
About you
  • 4+ years of relevant professional accounting compliance experience
  • CA ANZ or CPA membership or relevant overseas professional body
  • Competent user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and accounting systems
  • Experienced with mentoring and coaching junior team members.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Professional approach to work and a strong client focus.
