Job summary

Save-On-Foods is seeking an Assistant Department Manager for the Bakery in Kamloops, BC. You will help lead the bakery team, coach staff, and ensure excellent customer service while upholding food safety standards.

In this role you’ll mentor teammates, manage daily operations, and support business growth through community engagement and efficient stock management. A passion for great food and a proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience.
• Food Safe Certification.
• Passion for great food and outstanding customer service.

Assistant Department Manager, Bakery – Brocklehurst Save-On-Foods, Kamloops, BC

The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
• Food Safe Certification.
• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.

Compensation Details

$19.25 - $22.60 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
