Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring an Assistant Department Manager, Meat at our Sahali location in Kamloops, BC. You will lead a team, coach colleagues, and ensure Always Customer First service while maintaining strong inventory control and training initiatives.

The role requires open availability for 40 hours per week and Food Safe Certification. We offer a Friday pay cycle, team discounts, benefits, and growth opportunities within a supportive retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience is preferred.
• Food Safe Certification.
• Passion for great food and customer service.
• Strong work ethic and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and coach colleagues in the Meat department.
• Maintain Always Customer First service standards.
• Train and develop team members; manage performance and recognition.
• Communicate important messages to the team clearly.
• Develop entrepreneurial strategies using community knowledge to grow the business.
• Take counts of stock and ensure accurate inventory.

We are hiring for an Assistant Department Manager, Meat at our Sahali Save-On-Foods location in Kamloops, BC.

The successful candidate must have open availability and be available for 40 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting with leading a team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource to team members.
• Fostering a positive environment that is focused on Always Customer First service.
• Engaging and retaining team members through training and development, performance management, rewards/recognition and the identification and development of future leaders.
• Communicating important messages with the team.
• Using knowledge of the community, competitive environment, and industry to develop entrepreneurial strategies to grow the business.
• Taking count of the correct amount of stock.

You have:

• Previous retail or customer service experience (considered an asset).
• Food Safe Certification.
• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.

Compensation Details:

$19.25 - $22.60

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
