YOUR MISSION

As the Art Director, and reporting to the VP Creation, you will collaborate closely with various Creation directors & event designers to conceptualize, develop, and execute innovative visual solutions that align with every specific creation project, with our organizational objectives and CDS’s brand identity. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing & nourishing the visual aspects of several projects. Support in team lead and day to day organization. You will inspire and guide the Art Direction team throughout the entire process, from ideation to execution, ensuring exceptional quality, cohesion, and creativity across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative art direction and creative presentations, illustrations, graphic design, motion design, photography and videos (when required) for concepts, events, shows, formats, or special projects in keeping with departmental and organizational goals, creative vision and strategies
• Manage and support art direction team providing support and guidance on all creative projects, articulate the vision to the team; review and approve artistic elements and supervise timelines.
• Ensure projects are aligned with defined style guides and creative guideline
• Collaborate with team members, departments, and external partners as needed to identify creative asset and/or resources needs and ensure creative projects are completed effectively and efficiently
• Manage external creative resources effectively, balancing workloads and ensuring project success.
• Create templates, guidelines, and assets for organizational efficiency.
• Optimize tools and platforms for team efficiency and collaboration.
• Foster clear and effective communication within the team and across departments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships external partners, including agencies and freelancers, to support our creative needs as required.

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

• Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise and creativity, along with solid knowledge of the live entertainment industry (Cirque, Theatre, Live music…)
• Proven ability to manage and inspire artistic teams, with strong skills in conceptual development and execution across multiple formats.
• Skilled in project management and organization, with a proven track record of successfully handling multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build collaboration and alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of graphic design, motion design, and multimedia production tools and processes.
• Knowledge and/or interest to integrate AI capabilities as a development tool.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box to overcome challenges and achieve objectives.
• Fluently bilingual in French and English
