Job summary

Pfaff Automotive Partners in Newmarket, ON, is seeking an Apprentice Technician to diagnose and perform repairs under supervision. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship, working within a dealership setting to learn factory policies and warranty procedures.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a provincial journeyman program (310S) with a high school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating solid technical knowledge and excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school diploma or vocational equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited provincial journeyman's program with the goal to earn full journeyman certification as an automotive repair technician (310S) or provincial equivalent.
• Working knowledge of technical repairs and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform work as outlined on repair order under supervision with efficiency and accuracy.
• Discuss problems related to the repair with their supervising Technician or Service Manager.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and maintenance records.
• Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
• Review all repairs with a Supervising Technician.
• Perform other duties as required by leadership
