Job summary

Brandt is seeking a Foreman for our John Deere Agriculture dealership's Rocky View Agriculture branch. The role supervises the Service Department to meet quality standards and productivity, acting as Service Manager in its absence, and providing quotes and estimates to customers.

The candidate should have 3+ years as a Service Technician with Journeyman certification preferred, experience diagnosing hydraulic/electrical issues, and leadership abilities to coach staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience as a Service Technician (Journeyman preferred).
• Experience diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues on agricultural equipment.
• Ability to lead and coach others.
• Excellent negotiation/conflict resolution, decision making, and delegation skills.
• Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
• Basic understanding of financial principles related to service department operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assigning jobs and work orders to Service staff based on skills.
• Review repair orders for accuracy and progress; participate in repairs if needed.
• Serve as point-of-contact for technicians on equipment inquiries.
• Direct diagnosis and repair of machine problems with technicians and apprentices.
• Coordinate and schedule in-house technician training and safety meetings.
• Support Service Advisors by responding to technical questions from customers.
• Billed time approximates 50% of available time.
