Job summary

Brandt is seeking a Foreman to lead the Ponoka Service Department for John Deere Agriculture equipment. The role oversees technician work assignments, reviews repair orders, and ensures safety and quality standards are met.

You will act as a service liaison, supervise diagnostic work, coordinate training, and support the Service Manager in absence. Strong leadership and agribusiness knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Three+ years’ experience in service role; Journeyman preferred.
• Experience diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues on agriculture equipment.
• Familiar with John Deere Agriculture and competitors.
• Strong leadership and coaching ability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet.
• Effective communication, negotiation and conflict resolution.
• Basic understanding of financial principles related to service operations.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the assignment of jobs and work orders to Service Department employees according to their skills and knowledge.
• Assists in the appraisal of repair orders and may participate in repairs; review orders for accuracy and progress.
• Acts as a point-of-contact for technicians on equipment repair inquiries and updates.
• Directs and assists in diagnosing machine problems of technicians and apprentices.
• Coordinates and schedules all in-house technician training; supports safety meetings.
• Assists the Service Manager with coordinating quarterly safety meetings and with customer questions.
• May fill the Service Manager role in their absence.
• May arrange for re-conditioning of used equipment and set-up of new equipment.
• May approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.
• Bills approximately 50% of available time.
• Other duties as assigned.
