The Indigenous Relations Coordinator is a rewarding position where excellence is shown by supporting and managing administrative work flows, that allows the team to focus on fostering meaningful relationships with Frist Nations communities in order to advance shared objectives. This role involves coordinating consultation processes and meetings, researching, preparing vital documents and supporting the development of agreements. The ideal candidate is culturally sensitive, knowledgeable about First Nations’ history and rights in Canada, and supportive in communication and negotiation in advancing BCTS’ commitment to reconciliation and sustainable forest management.

This position can be based out of either of the locations listed above (Dawson Creek or Fort St John). Flexible work options may be available; successful candidate can work up to 2 days a week remotely subject to an approved telework agreement. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and/or permanent vacancies. A Criminal Record Check (CRC) is required. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
