Job summary

BC Public Service is seeking an Indigenous Relations Coordinator to support and manage administrative workflows, enabling the team to foster relationships with First Nations communities in British Columbia. You will coordinate consultations, prepare key documents, and assist in developing agreements, with a focus on reconciliation and sustainable forest management.

The role can be based in Dawson Creek or Fort St John, with possible telework up to 2 days per week under an approved plan.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Indigenous consultation/public administration or related field with 1 year related experience.
• Certificate/course in Indigenous consultation/public administration with 2 years related experience.
• Secondary School graduation and 3 years related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience with Indigenous peoples and communities.
• Experience in consultation and negotiation processes.
• Preference for forestry industry experience.

• Coordinate consultation processes and meetings.
• Research and prepare vital documents.
• Support development of agreements with First Nations.
