The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is one of Canada’s largest learning and research multi-campus hospitals. With more than 1,100 beds and approximately 12,000 staff members, we deliver specialized care to the Eastern Ontario region.

From the compassion of our people to the relentless pursuit of new discoveries, The Ottawa Hospital never stops seeking solutions to the most complex health‑care challenges while continually engaging with the community to support our vision for better patient care.

Working together with its research institute, the University of Ottawa, and other partners, the hospital is continually gaining national and international recognition for high‑quality patient care, teaching and research, while striving to meet the needs of the culturally diverse community we serve.

Position Information

The Rapid Access Clinic is a regional program hosted at TOH which provides assessment and consultative management of low back and associated leg symptoms. The clinicians work collaboratively with primary care to provide education and self‑management strategies, and triage patients requiring more advanced options eg imaging or surgical referral. We are also responsible for surgical referral management for the Champlain Regional central intake for spine: as such, we work closely with multiple stakeholders, so the successful candidate will require effective communication skills.

The incumbent for this role will manage and coordinate program referrals and tracking, and clinician scheduling. They will be involved with supporting the program lead, managing monthly pay, collecting statistical data for service analysis and performance management. The successful candidate should be able to work well under pressure, manage conflicting demands, and be effective in prioritisation of their workload with exemplary customer service skills.
