Job summary

RBC Dominion Securities in downtown Toronto, ON is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support a fast-paced IA team. The candidate will handle day-to-day administrative tasks for clients and have mentorship opportunities as they assist the team.

The role requires 2–3 years in the investment field as an assistant/associate, strong English communication, and excellent organization. This full-time position offers growth and exposure within one of the bank’s largest branches.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of investment field experience as an assistant/associate.

Responsibilities

  • Execute client account administration including opening and maintenance.
  • Manage timelines and key dates for accounts to support clients.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date and compliant.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely, understanding manner.
  • Assist Advisors with onboarding new clients.
  • Coordinate meetings for Advisors with clients/prospects.
  • Provide proactive client service and resolution of issues.
  • Handle communications from clients, Advisors and partners.

RBC Dominion Securities located in downtown Toronto, ON is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant for a growing fast-paced IA team. The successful candidate will possess 2 to 3 years of industry experience, a passion for service excellence, and thrive in a fast paced team environment. This individual will be responsible for the day to day administrative needs for clients and have the unique opportunity for mentorship and skill development as they work in a supporting role on the team. This is an exciting, challenging role in one of the largest Branches in the system. The ability to learn and grow in this role is vast.

What you will do
  • Impact client experience through execution of client account administration, including account opening, account maintenance and efficient resolution of client request.
  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients. You will be responsible for managing timelines and key dates for accounts to help ensure clients feel supported by our team.
  • Become well-versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation is accurate, up-to-date and compliant.
  • Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time-efficient manner (account transactions, requests, account documentation, account reporting, etc.).
  • Assist the Advisor team in welcoming and onboarding new clients.
  • Leverage your passion for planning to coordinate and prepare meetings for Advisors with their clients/prospects.
  • Tap into your superior problem resolution skills to provide proactive client service.
  • Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
What do you need to succeed
Must-have
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of experience in the investment field working as an assistant/associate
  • Administrative experience
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task/attention to detail/problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems
  • Completion of CSC and CPH
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Post-secondary degree

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is: $35,000.00 - $47,000.00

This position includes competitive-based pay, and the overall earning potential is impacted by a variable incentive structure, earning a multiple of salary up to: 0.5x
