POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Financial Controller, Connection Technologies, the Account Receivable and Billing Clerk is accountable for all billing related to the Connection Technologies North America division of Mattr for both the Shawflex and Kanata divisions and ensures that each of its business segments are paid by their customers accurately and timely.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and validate the invoice/credit prior to sending to customers.
  • Issue credit and customer communication, if needed, for RMAs.
  • Manage scrap invoicing.
  • Manage reel invoicing.
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Perform day‑to‑day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum high school education, post‑secondary education preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience within an industrial environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • ERP (IFS) experience preferred and intermediate Excel skills required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Data entry skills and a knack for numbers.
  • Hands‑on experience operating spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
